GENERIC WHMIS TRAINING
Workplace safety training is a critical element of safe business operations in Ontario. Under WHMIS regulations, employers are obligated to educate anyone who works with, or may come into contact with any hazardous materials.

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), came into effect in Ontario in 1988. The main elements of the system are cautionary labelling of WHMIS “controlled products”, the provision of material safety data sheets (MSDSs) and worker education programs.
